Recently, word has started to spread of an upcoming 646 project; and it's big.
It has only been three weeks since the last release from 646 Studios - the three minute, high octane racing short "Braking Bad" starring returning actor Max Laurens, and new cast member Sam Mainwaring. However, it's rumoured that "Braking Bad" director Maximillian Mavric-Neal and "Parallel" director, as well as composer for "Echelon", Phoenix Law have begun pre-production on a new film. Word broke out after the two filmmakers, along with actor Max Laurens, were seen gathering for a script readthrough mere days after the release of "Braking Bad". However, these rumours of a new film were strengthened when letters began arriving at known actors' doors with the logo of the studio etched onto the envelopes, suggesting that auditions may be soon to come for roles in the next 646 cinematic release. There has indeed been a sudden buzz of activity recently surrounding the film studio; not only the surprise release of their most recent film, but also members of the studio have been spotted donning branded attire. As well as this, the official 646 website went live, suggesting that events may be close on the horizon.
The real question, if a project is in fact going ahead, is what it will be based on. Historically, the studio have covered the action-comedy genre, with "Echelon", horror with Phoenix Law's "Parallel" and "Greg E. Beast" from the 646 Archives and racing-based films, including "Braking Bad" and "Gregerson" from the archive. Will 646 stick with a familiar genre, or will they branch out? Only time will tell.
